About the Third Reich of Germany

As the Third Reich tightened its political grip on the nation, several promises were made to its devoted citizens that encouraged further support and a much brighter future. The era in which this occurred was short as Germany would soon turn towards oppressive tactics and the machine of war in its tventure to cement itself in the annals of history.

Prior to the National Socialist Germany Work Party’s rise to power, the nation and its people were in dire straits. The war reparations of the first World War I were crippling and loans from the United States were barely keeping the nation afloat. Once the Stock Market crashed in 1929 and the Great Depression unfolded, virtually all help from the United States subsided and the German economy collapsed further. Unemployment exploded, banks were suddenly closing, and hyperinflation was reaching its peak.
